Get to Know
Lyft Bike

Take the Bay Area by the handlebars

Single rides. Day passes. Annual memberships. Whether you’re a longtime local or just visiting, we’ve got options to help you get where you’re going. And back again.

How it works

It's so easy.

1. Unlock

Pick a bike, open the Lyft app (or tap your Clipper card), and scan the QR code.
NOTE: New 19-digit Clipper cards are not yet compatible with Lyft Bike.

2. Ride

Hop on and feel every block, breeze, and hill.

3. Park

Dock any Lyft Bike at a station for free. Wait for the green light.

Ebikes with a cable lock can be parked at public bike racks for $2. Ebike rides may automatically end if the bike is idle for more than 15 minutes.

Park like a pro

  • If the docks at your destination are full you can find open docks in the Lyft or Lyft Bike app.

  • Tap the "P" in the bottom right corner of the app to see all available docks nearby.

  • You can also choose an ebike with a cable lock and end your trip at any bike rack in the service area for $2.

  • If a station is full, you can secure your cable-lock-equipped ebike to a bike rack within 50 meters of that station without paying an Out-of-Station fee.
